Abstract:The general lithium greases were prepared by using 12hydroxy stearic acid system to thicken the base oils with the same viscosity and different components under the same acid base ratio,soap content and the same process conditions to study the influence of base oil on lithium grease stability performance.The influence of viscosity index,aniline point and saturated hydrocarbon content of base oil on lithium grease stability performance was analyzed.The results show that with the increasing of the viscosity index,aniline point and saturated hydrocarbon content of the base oil,the cone penetration,resistance to water spray and oil pressure point are increased,while the one hundred thousand shear dvalue and evaporation capacity are decreased.The viscosity index,aniline point and saturated hydrocarbon content are positive with the stability of lithium grease,and are negative with solubility of lithium soap.
