Abstract:Sliding friction tests were performed on a MFT3000 multifunctional tribotester by ball disk model under oilair lubrication, and the test results were compared with those under dripping oil lubrication and dry friction. The surface morphology, chemical element composition and particle shape were characterized and analyzed by white light interferometer, scanning electron microscope (including EDS energy spectrum analysis) and iron spectrum analysis equipment. The results show that, under the condition of oilair lubrication, when the oil supply is insufficient, with the increase of oil supply, the friction coefficient, wear mass loss and wear scar parameters are decreased obviously, but the lubrication performance is worse than that of dripping oil lubrication. When the lubricating oil between the friction pairs is sufficient and the air supply speed reaches a certain value, the oilair lubrication can obtain a lower friction coefficient than the dripping oil lubrication, but the change of wear scar morphology is slight. At lower sliding speed and load, oxidation wear does not occur in point contact sliding friction test of oilair lubrication, and the cooling effect of oilair lubrication has no obvious effect on friction behavior, the wear mechanism is the same as that of dripping oil lubrication and dry friction, which are abrasive wear. The debris shape produced in the friction process is mainly fragment and flake, accompanied by a few long strips.
