Abstract:The oil seal commonly used in the integrated powertrain of battery electric vehicle(BEV) is locked with the shaft and sliding seal,which is easy to fail after longterm wear and aging,and is not easy to replace.At the same time,when the motor is running at high speed,the line speed is large,the oil seal can not meet the design requirements.Aimed at this problem,a new noncontact sealing structure suitable for the integrated powertrain of BEV was designed.This new seal integrates the dynamic ring and the static ring,forms a labyrinth structure in the middle,and adds a floating ring between the dynamic ring and the static ring.Through simulation and experimental verification,it is found the new noncontact sealing structure achieves the expected design function and its reliability is higher than that of conventional oil seal.The seal has a compact structure,can effectively improve the reliability of the integrated powertrain during its life cycle.
