Abstract:Aimed at the limitations of the current lubrication state test device,a dualpoint contact adaptive friction test device was proposed. The device combines the advantages of the friction coefficient method and the contact resistance method, the resistance is measured on the relatively static double lower test pieces, which simplifies the design of the circuit. The floating support mechanism is used to realize the automatic adjustment of the loading force, the bottomup loading method is adopted to reduce the interference between the selfweight of the device and the friction on the rail slider, therefore, the test measurement is convenient and the test accuracy is guaranteed. The resistance and friction coefficient corresponding to different loads and speeds at point contact were studied on the test device, and the changing law of them is investigated.Result shows that there is a strong correlation between the friction coefficient and the change of resistance.Combined with the Dowson lubrication state classification method, the point contact lubrication state was divided, and the corresponding lubrication state diagram was drawn. It is found that the device can accurately divide the lubrication state, which provide a new idea for lubrication status research and lubricant quality identification.
