Through analyzing the causes of bearing wearing in low pressure solvent recovery compressor K5001,dissolved hydrocarbon gas is found in lubricating oil which led to the serious decrease of kinematic viscosity. In order to reduce the solution of hydrocarbon gas in the lubricating oil,the synthetic base oil was selected,based on the operation condition and minimum allowable viscosity in main bearing,the viscosity range of the lubricating oil was determined,and a new synthetic oil was selected for the hydrocarbon compressor. Actual operation results show that this synthetic oil can satisfy the requirements of equipment,and the hydrocarbon gas has small influence on its viscosity.
