Abstract:The environmentalfriendly ester oils,carbonic acid glycerate fatty acid ester,were synthesized using carbonic acid glycerol carbonate and fatty acid as raw materials.Taking the synthesis of carbonic acid glycerate butyl ester from carbonic acid glycerol carbonate and nbutyric acid as an example,the structure of the products was identified by gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC-MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR),and the optimal synthesis conditions were discussed.It is found the highest yield of 75.54% is reached under the conditions of the temperature from 80 to 85 ℃,the alcoholacid mass ratio of 1.5,the reaction time of 7 h,and 2% p-toluenesulfonic acid as the catalyst.The carbonic acid glycerate fatty acid esters with different carbon chain length were synthesized by changing the types of fatty acids,and their properties were studied.The results show that carbonic acid glycerate fatty acid esters have excellent viscositytemperature properties and lowtemperature fluidity,good extremepressure and antiwear properties,and good oxidation stability.The longer the carbon chain of fatty acid is,the better the viscosity temperature performance and tribological performance of the synthesis oil are,and the worse the lowtemperature fluidity and oxidation stability are.It is conducive to improving the tribological performance and lowtemperature fluidity of the synthesis oil,but it is not conducive to improving the oxidation stability of the synthesis oil.
