Abstract:In order to obtain the currentcarrying friction performance of the elastic contact friction pair,a reciprocating sliding currentcarrying friction test was carried out on the selfmade test machine with the wireplate pair as the object,and the shape of the wear trace was measured by the threedimensional profiler and SEM analysis.The results show that with the increase of wire diameter,the load retention rate and contact resistance decrease,the wear volume and the wear height increase,and the wear forms are adhesive wear,abrasive wear and arc ablation.The main form of early failure of the currentcarrying friction pair in elastic contact is transient fracture,which is caused by nonuniform wear in operation,debris accumulation,deformation of elastic devices,etc.,which causes the elastic devices to bounce and twist,and then causes the friction pair to separate temporarily.In order to improve the life of the friction pair and ensure the reasonable actual contact load,it is necessary to reduce the wear amount in the height direction of the specimen and control the load retention rate.At the same time,the smoothness of friction pair operation should be improved to reduce the bouncing of elastic device.
