Through analyzing the working conditions of shield seal system,the performance requirements of shield seal grease were put forward.The important technical characteristics of shield seal grease were systematically evaluated and analyzed by using the developed four special instruments and devices,such as water-resistant seal,pumping,adhesion and density,and the existing legal channels standard test method.On this basis,a quality survey was conducted on the shield seal grease,and the China Petroleum Chemical Industry Federation(CPCIF) group standard of the Series Products and Test Methods of Shield Seal Grease with advanced and normative features was developed first in the world.
