Abstract:Aimed at the failure of 90° elbow in the natural gas gathering pipelines caused by erosion, the corresponding model was established by using CFD simulation software based on the actual working conditions,in order to investigate the erosion law of solid particles on the bend wall of natural gas gathering pipelines when delivering gassolid twophase flow medium.By using RNG kε turbulence model,DPM model and E/CRC erosion model, the effects of pressure, gravity direction, velocity, the diameter of the pipe and the solid particle size on the erosion of elbow were studied. The simulation results show that with the increasing of the pressure, the erosion wear of the elbow is reduced, and the wear area moves from the center to the exit and from the outside wall to the inside concave surface.Gravity has a influence on the degree of erosion and the wear area.Erosion will be increased when the gravity field coincides with the gas flow field. When the airflow velocity exceeds critical velocity, the erosion wear is aggravated, and the position of the maximum wear rate moves backward. The smaller the diameter of pipe and the greater the diameter of the solid particle, the more severe the erosion.
