Abstract:In order to optimize the bearing characteristics of hybrid gas thrust bearing,a hybrid gas thrust bearing with spiral groove and slit restrictor structure was designed.The static characteristics of the bearing were simulated and analyzed with Fluent.By changing the spindle speed and gas supply pressure,the influences of gas film thickness,spiral groove width,slit thickness and other parameters on the static characteristics of the bearing were studied.The results show that compared with the thrust bearing with slot throttling,the increase of spiral groove structure can enhance the dynamic pressure effect of the bearing,so as to improve the bearing capacity and stiffness of the bearing.Under the same conditions,the larger the film thickness,the smaller the bearing capacity and stiffness.With the increase of spindle speed and gas supply pressure,the bearing capacity and stiffness are significantly improved.With the increase of spiral groove width,the bearing capacity and stiffness first increase and then decrease.With the increase of slot thickness,the bearing capacity first increases and then remains unchanged,and the stiffness first increases and then decreases.With the increase of slot depth,the bearing capacity decreases and the stiffness first increases and then decreases.
