Abstract:In order to study the effect of different surface treatment methods on anti-friction performance of Babbitt alloy/45 steel pair, hexagonal boron nitride was encapsulated in the surface texture, and the composite lubrication structure surfaces were prepared.Pin-disk wear tests were carried out under oil-lubrication,and the wear process was divided using recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) parameter. The anti-friction performance of composite lubrication structure surfaces during running in and normal wear was studied, and compared with that of only texture surface. The results show that the composite lubrication structure surfaces have lower friction coefficient and more significant anti-friction performance, whose anti-friction performance is better than only texture surface.Compared with the no texture surface, the average friction coefficient of the composite lubrication structure surfaces decreases by 77.9% in the running-in period and 73.5% in the normal wear period, and the time in running-in period decreases by 75.0%.The composite lubrication structure surfaces with larger texture pore diameter have better anti-friction performance and shorter running-in period. Both only textured surfaces and composite lubrication structure surfaces have more significant anti-friction performance at a higher speed and load. The lower the friction coefficient of various surfaces in the running-in period, the lower the corresponding friction coefficient after entering the normal wear period.
