Abstract:Nano modification,organic modification and inorganic modification were applied in integration to modify phenolic(PF)resin with boric acid,tung oil and organified vermiculite in order to improve its heat resistance performance.Analysis with FTIR and TG on modified resin was carried out.The results show that the boron element and tung oil are bonded to the molecular chain of PF after modification by boric acid and tung oil,which improves the heat resistance performance of resin.The organified vermiculite can obviously improve the heat resistance and high temperature performances of PF,and the initial thermal decomposing temperature of PF is increased by 40~50 ℃ than regular phenolic resin.The compound modified PF resin can improve the stable friction coefficient of the friction materials under high temperature,reduce the wear rate,and can effectively avoid heat decay of friction and wear performance.
